Vaco is seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Staff Accountant to join afinance team. This role will involve handling accounts payable functions while also assisting with general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency. • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of payments while adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.
• Maintain vendor records and update vendor information as needed.
• Assist with the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.
• Provide support for audits and compliance requirements as necessary.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Proven experiencein accounts payable and/or general accounting roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software/systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with cost accounting principles.
    • Familiarity with manufacturing accounting processes and inventory management.
