DescriptionThe Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics at
California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites
applications for a Tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant
Professor (Academic Year) with the appointment starting in Fall

experience in teaching and working with individuals from diverse

core values.Teaching needs include accounting information systems,
data analytics, accounting data software, and courses related to
CPA-ISC discipline, CPA-TCP discipline, and CPA-BAR discipline. The
ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in accounting from an
AACSB accredited university and be academically qualified based on
the current AACSB standards, by the time of employment.
Professional certification and working experience are preferred but
ABDs will be considered. A track record of teaching excellence is
required and publications in quality journals are
preferred.ResponsibilitiesTeaching duties may consist of day or
evening classes. Teaching responsibilities may include both
undergraduate and graduate courses, and likely include online
courses. Additional responsibilities include publishing research
papers in high-quality journals and performing service consistent
with the mission of the University and the College of Business
Administration and Public Policy. Publications in support of the
mission are expected and required for tenure and
promotion.QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Applicants must have experience in working with students from
diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic
backgrounds.
- Qualified applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Accounting from a
university accredited by AACSB. Consideration will also be given to
those at the ABD stage from an AACSB-accredited institution,
contingent upon completing Ph.D. requirements before the
commencement of employment.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence.Preferred
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background
in accounting information systems (AIS) and who have the ability to
teach courses aligned with the CPA-ISC Discipline both at
undergraduate and graduate levels. However, consideration will also
be extended to candidates who are familiar with data analytics,
and/or other relevant areas such as TCP and BAR within the CPA

Economics has 21 full-time faculty (16 tenured and tenure-track).
The department offers undergraduate concentrations in accounting,
finance, general business, international business, and a
certificate in accounting. The department also offers a Master
degree in accounting.The College of Business Administration and
Public PolicyEstablished in 1973, the College of Business
Administration and Public Policy (CBAPP) is a productive and
professional environment of excellence in academic programs and
scholarly activity with 62 Full-time Faculty, and 1700 Full-Time
Students. Undergraduate and graduate programs in Business
Administration, Public Administration, and Criminal Justice
Administration are led by four academic departments and the School
of Public Service and Justice consisting of scholarly tenured,
tenure-track faculty and lecturers. Our programs have been granted
regional accreditation by Western Association of Schools and
Colleges(WASC), business programs accreditation by Association to
Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and public
administration accreditation by Network of Schools of Public
Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA). CBAPP has the second

(Academic Year) classification salary range is $6,221 to $13,224
per month (12 monthly payments per academic year); The anticipated
hiring salary is per month. This position will be commensurate with
experience and current CSUD $11,400 to $11,700 per month faculty
salaries in the academic department/discipline. Faculty salaries
are subject to budgetary authorization and any California State
University System faculty contract increases. Summer research
grants, moving expenses, start-up funds, and a reduced teaching
