Position Title: Overhead Crane Service Technician Company Name: Level Crane Systems Pay Range: $32–$48 per hour Performance Bonus Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Orange County, CA Industry : Industrial / Manufacturing Services Job Overview Level Crane Systems is looking for a skilled and safety-focused Field Service Crane Technician to join our Field Operations team. Based out of our Orange County headquarters, this full-time role involves servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining overhead crane systems at customer sites. With a strong electrical and mechanical foundation, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and reliability of critical lifting equipment—while working independently and representing the company on the front lines. Key Responsibilities Perform field service work on overhead crane systems, including diagnostics, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance Respond to trouble calls and emergencies with a focus on minimizing customer downtime Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits, controls, radio systems, and mechanical components Conduct safety checks and maintain compliance with OSHA and company protocols Assist with crane installations and commissioning of new equipment Provide accurate documentation, including service tickets, time logs, and job-related expenses Communicate with customers on equipment condition, repair recommendations, and service completion Maintain and care for assigned tools, vehicle, and service equipment Support sales efforts by identifying potential opportunities for service contracts, spare parts, or upgrades Participate in ongoing training to stay current on products and industry standards Contribute to safety, quality, and process improvement discussions during team meetings Represent Level Crane Systems with professionalism and integrity at all times Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED 5 years of electrical and mechanical service experience (required) Strong working knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems, and overhead crane mechanisms Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Proficiency reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Commitment to safety with ability to follow OSHA regulations Excellent time management, documentation, and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple service jobs Willingness to travel to job sites across Southern California Preferred: Cal-OSHA Certification Technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical systems Experience with scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklift operations Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Able to work in varying weather conditions and stand for long periods Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off, Holidays, and Sick Leave Paid Parental Leave Ongoing Training and Career Development Company Vehicle and Tools Provided Smartphone or Tablet Tech Package Uniforms Provided Bi-Weekly Pay Cycle Performance Bonuses Mileage Reimbursement Employee Discounts & Recognition Schedule Full-Time, Monday–Friday Overtime may be required based on service demands Location Based in Orange County, CA Onsite with travel to customer locations as needed Equal Employment Opportunity We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
