Job Description:
A company is looking for a Medical Records Coder II
(Inpatient).
Key Responsibilities
Code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 conventions and
ensure accurate reimbursement
Review complex medical records and coordinate the work of
subordinate employees while conducting audits
Consult with physicians and educate them on coding practices and
documentation requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma required
Must hold one of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS,
CPC, or HCS-D
CCS certification requires one year of coding experience; CPC or
HCS-D certification requires two years of coding experience
No experience required for RHIA and RHIT certifications
Participation in continuing education programs is necessary to
maintain coding knowledge
