Position Details:
Title: Sales Representative (Development Program)
Location: Carson, CA (Los Angeles)
Shift: Mon-Friday 1st shift
Compensation: $75k base + quarterly bonus and commission! (details discussed during interview process)

Travel: Local travel within the Sales Territory

Position Description:
The COMPANY Lighting Sales Development Program is designed to produce COMPANY's next generation of sales leaders. Program participants will receive approximately 3 months of intensive lighting industry and COMPANY-specific training to prepare them to succeed in a technical sales role. Upon completion, they will deploy into strategic markets where they will work with our customers and manufacturer's representatives to support and grow sales of COMPANY's advanced lighting products.
--- Become an expert in the technical details of COMPANY's products and their applications.
--- Gain a thorough understanding of COMPANY's organization, policies, and procedures.
--- Learn the basics of the science of lighting.
--- Field technical support calls and help customers troubleshoot issues.
--- Field customer service calls.
--- Develop the ability to present COMPANY solutions to all types of customers.
--- Deliver COMPANY presentations to visitors and in the field.
--- Deliver lighting Continuing Education Unit presentations.
--- Conduct manufacturers' representative training on new and existing COMPANY products
--- Work with existing COMPANY sales personnel and support special sales projects in the field as assigned.
--- Work independently to identify sales opportunities and report back to COMPANY sales leadership for follow-up.
--- Provide COMPANY leadership with periodic progress presentations and work with them to develop future activities.

Requirements:
--- 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
--- Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated military leadership success.
--- Strong technical aptitude.
--- Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
--- Demonstrated track record of academic success.
